E é quase Natal / And so it's almost Christmas

Estou triste em dizer que como não é habitual, na cidade onde vivo: Caldas da Rainha, este ano não encontrei ainda o gigante Presépio tradicional. 
Não vou dizer que eu seja uma pessoa muito religiosa, sou muito pouco, mas tenho pena que esse símbolo da família não esteja tão visível aqui na minha terra, e agradeço aos que se lembraram de o fazer e partilhar com os olhos alheios, acho que é essa sensação de calor familiar que mais faz falta nesta época, mesmo que o aquecimento exterior nem sempre seja o melhor.
 No Natal também temos que nos lembrar dos amigos, mas também se diz que os amigos são a família  que se escolhe.
 Que assim continuem todos a fazer crescer ternura e carinho dentro de nós. Amén a isso.

I am sad to say that in a non usual way in the city I live in, in Portugal, this year I haven't yet discovered the whereabouts of the traditional gigantic Nativity Scene.
I am not going to say that I am a very religious person, I am not, but I am sorry to see that this symbol of family isn't so visible here in my hometown, and I thank the ones that decided to  put some work into making one to share with stranger eyes, I think its this warm family feeling that is lacking most in this time of the year, even if the exterior heating is not the best we can have.
Christmas also includes remmembering and celebrating with our friends, they are the family we choose.
May they all remain making care and tenderness grow inside of  us. Amen to that.

Capuccino!

Uma senhora italiana ensinou-me a fazê-lo: põe-se algum leite gordo dentro de uma chávena de chá, e coloca-se aquela vara da máquina de café, que deita vapôr, dentro do leite até fazer espuma ( tem que se ligar o botãozinho claro). Verte o café sobre a espuma . Está feito! Pode temperar-se com açúcar, ou mel, ou chocolate em pó, se gostar :).

An italian lady told me how to make it: get some fat milk on a tea cup and with a steam maker on your coffee machine make some steam inside the milk, until you've got foam. Than pour the coffee over the top of the foam. Its done! You can add sugar or honey or chocolate powder, if you like:)

O vírus A. / The A virus.

Caros amigos, também contraí a gripe A, e portanto, a fábrica que estava ultimamente oucupada a criar presentes, fechou para descontaminação. E como se diz : vaso ruim não quebra, hehehe.

Dear friends, I have also caught the A flu, so , the factory that was lately busy creating gifts, has closed for decontamination. And, as we usually say here: a bad vase can't be broken.
